BIO / Carla Asquini
Carla Asquini is a contemporary painter who turns emotions and life’s challenges into art. Born in Udine, she discovered her passion for painting early, refining her talent in Houston, Texas, under the guidance of master Lajos Markos. Returning to Italy, she continued her artistic journey with Fred Pittino, developing a unique and expressive style.
In 2021, cancer changed everything. It was a moment of fear, vulnerability, and deep transformation. But from that pain, Carla found new strength. She poured herself into her art, using flowers as a powerful metaphor for resilience. Lotus flowers, calla lilies, peonies, and roses became more than just subjects on canvas; they were symbols of rebirth, beauty, and survival. Each brushstroke carried a message of hope, reminding the world of the extraordinary power of the human spirit.
Her work has touched hearts across the globe, with exhibitions spanning from Montecarlo to China. Each piece radiates color and emotion, telling stories of courage and renewal. Through acrylics on canvas, Carla captures the fragility and strength that define us all. Among her most cherished works: Peonies, Rosis, Giallo, Lilly Gold, and Ortensie.
